The Helmsmen

The Helmsmen

thehelmsmenband.com

The Helmsmen is a band of five ocean raised rockers that have been pooling their talents since elementary school. The current lineup of Jesse (ukulele/vocals), sam (drums), Micko (bass), Jacob (guitars), and Derek (guitar/sax) was solidified with their first release "The Homework EP" in early 2015. Since then they have set up shop at the "Helm House" in their hometown of Jupiter, FL. There they work to hone a sound influenced by scenery and their musical upbringings on classic rock, roots reggae, surf ballads, and backwoods folk. Its tone relies heavily on delicate ukulele, polished harmonies, warming guitars, and hardy rhythms. They call it "Island Indie". The new six song EP titled "Midterm" has been met with high praise and helped propel the sea-side jammers into the playlist of music lovers all over the continent. The new release sees them bringing their "circus of a live show" to cities near you.

Boxelder

Boxelder

boxelder.com

Boxelder has been dishing up the reggae rock since 1995. If you’re thinking white boy reggae you are in the wrong place. These guys were the originators of rock-n-roll twisted around high energy caribbean rhythms. Five albums and a hard core touring schedule in the mid 90’s through early 2000’s earned them the crown jewel of South Florida original rock. Their live performance is the place to see and feel the whole message as driving guitars, percussion jams and chant along anthems will ever secure the band in the book for all original indie success. Performing select festivals and one off concerts to packed crowds is the final stage of this premier band. There is talk of a new release in late 2016 but only the insiders know the real plan.
